those words were inspired by my favorite author, nancy zhang (here's a sample of her reading her works), who i hope to be like someday. and she's part of rookiemag i think.
err, well i haven't been posting a lot (why do all of my posts start like this?!) although summer is where i'm doing nothing, especially when i should be doing my personal project, my reading assignment, and taking the driver's test for my permit. (typing this made me realize how behind i am... sigh).
but anyways, i love tumblr and i'm making another picture roll. enjoy~

OMG SCHOOL WHY

well i've been pretty busy with the last few weeks of school with studying  and the usual... so i haven't been able to post anything. plus, my life is super boring and my backyard does not consist of dry forest with beautiful trees and confetti hanging from their branches to take nice, artistic photographs in the sunset. i've pretty much been inside for most of these weeks.

but i'm going to puerto rico soon this summer! yeah! i have no idea what to wear, but this would be nice.

This will probably not work, mainly because it will be around 100,000 degrees in the summer. but cats are always a plus.

japanese street style never fails to impress

i really don't remember when i first started liking japanese/asian street style, or just their style in general. but i'm more curious as to what i did before then. i read somewhere that their fashion is a few years ahead of the western trends, and i'm not really doubting right now.

 

i mean, look at them! i found these pictures on tumblr (okay, i should seriously stop typing this phrase b/c i think we all get it by now.) and i wish i had money to buy all of these things. i think the last picture was from eva-pinkland...?

lip tar

i know i haven't been posting in a while, and i really don't have any reasonable  explanation really. i've been on tumblr a looooooot, so i'll just say i've been busy. anyway, tumblr does have its benefits because i found something called lip tar for your (you guessed it) lips! it's super cool, and has a ton of unique colors. it's from obsessive compulsive cosmetics (i like the name).

they're all vegan and cruelty-free and are $14 for a 0.33 fl. oz. tube. i'd want to buy them, but maybe later... or for my birthday. ordering online sucks.

inspiration for life after this school year

being the ever-changing caterpillar i like to call myself, i put together some pictures i found on the internet (mainly tumblr). they're pretty much all asian because i like to stay true to my race (lol, no i just like them. is that reverse discrimination?).

there are quite a few more, but i'll make a separate post. because school is tomorrow. why???

welcome hoooome!

those 40 days of easter have been long and tough, but thank God (in some aspect, this can be taken literally) i can finally be back on blogger. i've spent most of my time on tumblr (not cheating, ok?) so i haven't deprived myself too much. but now i can actually WRITE stuff and not just reblog and write a crapload of tags.

i've also been super lazy with sports going on too, so the camera is stowed away somewhere. and my school outfits are pretty much sea turtle t-shirts and shorts that i've somehow along the way spilled paint on them. but i promise, they'll get better. especially summer/ 10th grade and then on, when no more sports for me! cue laziness and living up to my true studying prowess.

so yeah. just a quick update of whatever happened those 2-3 months (i really don't do math well) and yeah.

in the spirit of lent and giving up something i love for 40 days, i've decided to promise off blogging and fashion websites and such. i know i'm writing this post right now, and it's technically two days after ash wednesday, but you catch my drift.

is it okay to do things no one else likes

i've been having a writer's block lately, but scouring the internet really helped kick some inspiration up in my face. just yesterday i found out i get to read to a bunch of 7th grade students for an induction ceremony next week, in the auditorium (aka bright hot lights) which should be super fun (ok not really). but i figured it should be interesting.

i was feeling pattern-crazy today and it was the first day this winter that it was cold outside. so maybe that explains everything. or not. i really don't care because i just got strange looks at school and i was called "climate-confused." and i take that as a nice friendly gesture of love.
